Red, Blue & You 2019 Exceeds Expectations

The 4th Annual Red, Bue & You Celebration of Community Heroes drew first responders, public safey personnel and supporters together.

Raymer Sale wants public safety officers — whether they be police, deputies, state troopers, firefighters or EMS workers — to know one thing as Thanksgiving approaches: people in the community are thankful for the work they do. That is the purpose of the annual Red, Blue and You event, which Sale founded. The fourth annual celebration of first responders took place on Thursday, November 20, 2019 at the Buford Arena.

“We purposely hold this event the Thursday before Thanksgiving to get in the mode of giving thanks to these folks for what they do to keep us safe because they do a tremendous job at that,” Sale said.

Over the years, the response has been tremendous among the business community and the police and fire chiefs. What started out as a Gwinnett County celebration has grown into a multi-county event. The public community involvement is also increasing as the Red, Blue & You has become an annual tradition. The display of pride and patriotism during the event is a true testimony of the skills, training, discipline, and sacrifice embraced by the men and women who make up our first line of public protection.

Sale said while there are events designed to bring the community and public safety together, he felt it was important for the business community to honor public safety officers as well. "We appreciate our sponsors whose donations financially support the event and charitable contributions," shared Sale.
